During an airing of CNN Newsroom, on August 16, 2025, host Victor Blackwell played a clip of a Ukrainian soldier, Volodymyr Cheslavskyi, speaking with a CNN correspondent about the possibility of Ukraine giving Russia land in order to stop the war that Russia started.

Cheslavskyi made it clear that Ukrainian land is a part of Ukrainians and giving up any part of their land is equal to Ukrainians giving the soul of their nation to a devil who brought death upon them. “…trading land for Ukrainians is unacceptable. This land is soaked with our blood,” said Volodymyr Cheslavskyi.

Cheslavskyi is right! Every day, for over three years, now, Putin has been killing Ukrainians off their land. According to the United Nations Human Rights Monitors’ report, Putin has killed 13, 883 people with 726 of those 13,883 being children. He’s also injured 35,548 people with 2,234 children making up the 35,548 of those injured.

Putin justifies his maiming and killing of Ukrainian civilians with his belief that Ukrainian land is Russian land that has been taken over by fields of Western weeds that are choking the root of Russian culture out of Ukraine’s culture. Therefore, in Putin’s mind, he’s not killing Ukrainians. He’s cleansing them.

Unfortunately for Putin, he’ll never figure out that the baptize by fire tactic ain’t working on the Ukrainians. To the Ukrainians, their land is not Russian land. Their land is not Western land. Ukrainian land is Ukrainian.

And they are not about to let Putin use the blood of their mothers, fathers, sons, and daughters to give life to the czarist monster he is trying to become.
